حق Prof. Mariam AlSayegh: The award for practicing the arts of death for a kingdom that violated all customs& laws in its violation of the rights of Shiites, Bedoons, & poor workers goes to Bahrain - مريم الصايغ

Dear ladies and gentlemen
This is one of the newspaper articles from my series of articles
about written and televised
reports and testimonies that I have participated in since 2002 until today

Do you know, my friend, the value of humanity..
It differs according to each country and each organization
and according to the interests of countries, kingdoms and allies
When a human being dies, is tortured or sold,
a spoiled child like me
Decides with her free will to defend and express the human being
and loses a lot of her comfort
And abandons her comfort zone, her fortified castle and her ivory tower
And rejects the offers of interest groups to change the face of the world
with constant attempts to prevent human trafficking
And torture and violation of the rights of every human being
And indeed, I am not the only one bleeding for the rights
of every human being..
There are hundreds of young people across the countries
who have gone beyond the circle of their personal interests and desires
And have become the voice of every human being
So in our stripping ourselves of all interests and desires
and our efforts to expose and uncover every violation of human rights
We collide with the reality on the ground, as interest
groups move the facts according to alliances and interests
There are kingdoms that are treated like five Stars
And their allies turn a blind eye due to diplomatic considerations
and respect for the oil kingdom..
There is impunity and non-implementation of sanctions
and accountability for serious human rights violations
Including liquidations, extrajudicial killings, torture and many violations
So although Bahrain is a monarchy whose system has become outdated..
But it still practices its oppression against every human being..
And despite that, it is a member of the Arab League..
And it claims that it has a fair constitution that controls its people
according to its provisions
And it has a Council of Ministers and a National Assembly
and claims that it has a judicial system and
Parliamentary elections...
Wow, a democratic appearance and an excellent financial situation
and a people without identity or homeland..
Governed by ignorance, opportunism and greed,
so the record
The human rights situation in Bahrain.. is very bleak
and suffers from a sharp deterioration
And torture is a regular and common procedure of living!!
The scenario of implementing the legal process in Bahrain is shameful.
Despite all the apparent measures that Bahrain claims
to have taken to improve the life of the Bahraini citizen,
they are all lies. Revenge against people is common in Bahrain.
Especially the Bedoons, who are stateless people
It is one of the growing problems in Arab countries and kingdoms,
especially Kuwait, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia
In Bahrain, the problem of the Bedoons is represented by stateless people
who are descendants of Iranians, especially ethnic Persians who lived in Bahrain
for many decades
So most of the stateless people in Bahrain are Muslims who differ from the Sunni kingdom
in doctrine, but the difference with the tyrannical kingdom has lasted a long time,
as they differ in faith, as...
Some of the stateless people in Bahrain are Christians
- oh my! A harsh position indeed. I pity every dissenter in belief
and thought in the kingdom of tyranny.
Do you know, my dear, what the kingdom of tyranny did to the Bedoon?
It turned them into slaves.
And practiced the arts of death on them and deprived them of
the most basic human rights.
So what about the right to live or express yourself?
Since the beginning of the eighties, the Bahraini government
has deported hundreds of Bedoon to Iran!!!
Can you imagine Iran becoming a new killing machine that has traveled between
the homelands of tyranny? What fate awaits the kingdom of tyranny!!!
The Bedoon, my friend, have been deprived of the right to obtain legal residency.
They are also not allowed to own land, nor are they allowed the right
to travel abroad, buy homes, or hold government jobs!!!
They are not allowed to start businesses, borrow loans,
send their children to public schools, or receive free medical care. For decades,
they have been subjected to deliberate liquidation procedures,
and their fate is suspended between slavery, torture,
and deportation at any time.
An activist who follows the deterioration of human rights will find that
the Sunni government of Bahrain has marginalized the "Shiites",
the indigenous people of Bahrain, between torture and enforced disappearance,
as they are two common means in Bahrain to liquidate opponents.
It has also desecrated religion and changed history
by destroying dozens of ancient Shiite mosques.
The government regularly practices torture and ill
-treatment in the interrogation of security suspects between 2007 and 2009.
When confronted with testimonies and evidence,
we find nothing but denial.
It also practiced the suppression and enslavement of migrant workers
Poor workers, especially Asians,
suffered many crimes against them
From low wages, imprisonment, increased working hours,
trafficking in them
And using them for pleasure, and insufficient wages, food,
and rest hours
The tyrannical kingdom also practiced...
Suppressing demonstrators last year during the miserable people's attempt
to taste the sweetness of democracy
And smelling the breeze of the Arab Spring in 2011...
Torture in Bahrain has become widespread and revealed cases of forced confessions
And electric shocks, beatings, and rape
And since mid-March 2011, it has launched a violent campaign of punitive
and retaliatory repression
Against its citizens, characterized by fierce repression and arbitrary
arrests on a large scale
Using torture, ill-treatment, and coercion based on confessions
and unfair trials, and attacking health sector workers
and wounded demonstrators
In addition to mass dismissals from work for political reasons of workers
and university students
It adopted unlawful killing and arbitrary arrest; Discriminatory policies
against minorities
An alliance was formed between the armed forces of the oil kingdom
and the Bahraini forces
and riot police in mid-March, and for several weeks they practiced systematic violence
against the peaceful protests of the people of Bahrain in the streets..
The people who wanted life and wanted to support democracy
and oppose the fascist government
More than a thousand people were arrested, some of whom
had not committed the act of demonstrating
Since then, the authorities have carried out a brutal campaign
that included judicial and administrative punishment
against demonstrators, opposition leaders, all critics and human rights activists
Then King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa announced
the end of the martial law on June 1
To calm human rights activists and improve the image of the government
some detainees who were involved in the demonstrations
who were arrested for being there!!! They were punished,
but hundreds of others remain in incommunicado detention,
facing unfair trials before special military courts, most on trumped-up
political charges rather than criminal offences. The authorities have done little to address documented allegations of torture during interrogation.
Despite denials from government spokesmen,
and the growing voices of human rights activists around the world,
and our submission and publication of hundreds of testimonies,
the Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry (BICI) was established
on 29 June 2011 by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to assess the incidents that
occurred in the kingdom during the unrest in February and March 2011,
and the consequences of these events. According to "Royal Order No. 28 of 2011"
The aim of the committee is to investigate "incidents that occurred in Bahrain
to calm the anger of human rights activists around the world
The announcement by King Hamad of an independent commission of inquiry
that included
four internationally recognized human rights experts
including a former UN Special Rapporteur on torture
is a good sign for revealing any consequences resulting from the events
And surprisingly, the report was issued on November 23 last year
It confirmed the existence of some incidents of physical
and psychological assault on detainees...
Wow amazing..
Humiliation, torture and oppression and the result is
an increase in death sentences and enforced disappearances
There is no evidence of criminal investigations and the government
did not impose disciplinary measures
on the alleged perpetrators
"Some incidents of physical and psychological assault on detainees
- not important -
We will accept this report..
What next!!!
Where is the transparency!! Who are the perpetrators?
Will the names of the perpetrators not be revealed?
And what are the punitive measures for them?
Of course not!!!
Thank God we approved your reports!!!
When we demanded that the perpetrators be exposed,
the freedom of the violated be rescued, and accountability for those
who carried out human rights violations
torture
we found nothing but the same approach that the government has followed for years
we were met with empty promises and repeated claims of improvement by the government
to appease the anger of human rights activists around the world
the two allies of the Kingdom of injustice are now pointing to a "national dialogue"
as a way out of the current crisis.
How is an effective national dialogue conducted?
Prominent opposition figures, essential to the success of any dialogue,
have been sentenced
to prison or face trials before a special military court
for merely participating in peaceful demonstrations
and criticizing the government
even legally recognized opposition parties have been completely marginalized.
Where they received five invitations out of a total of 297
Al-Wefaq, Waad and the Democratic Forum, the three opposition groups combined
They obtained more than 55 percent of the popular vote in the October 2010 elections
These three groups together, with a clear electoral mandate,
constitute only five percent of the participants in the dialogue!!!
- If they are all chosen to participate
Can we hope for an end to the government’s repression campaigns?
And a national dialogue to discuss the problems and rights of every human being!!!
I don’t think so!!!
The only way to a successful national dialogue is for Bahrain’s two international allies to now, not after the failure of the dialogue, to insist that Bahrain end the rampant human rights violations, arbitrary arrests and detentions, to release all detainees who were arrested for merely exercising their right to freedom of expression and peaceful assembly, to begin a serious and honest investigation into the serious crimes attributed to internal parties, and to prosecute and sentence all those involved, including those responsible for unlawful killings and abuses in detention. Always be in full freedom, security and peace.

Be well and in love.
